It was only days before Korea’s first all girl rock band Nia take Melbourne’s stage to celebrate the opening of Mikkeli Entertainment, but Nia kindly took the time for a friendly chat with hellokpop’s Sira.
We felt bad when we introduced Australia’s iconic bitter bread spread, Vegemite but Nia quickly forgave us when we treated them to Australia’s own biscuits, Tim Tams.
Flying in from South Korea, Nia – a four piece band that consists of Soyeon (Vocalist), Sseo Ji (Drummer), Youngsin (Bass) and Naray (Guitarist) and along with their bubbly personalities, Sira and Nia quickly bonded and even started to crack their own jokes.
Nia is recognised as being Korea’s first all girl rock band, debuted earlier last year with their song “My Everything“. Having worked with veteran producer MC Hansai for their debut single, the girls collaborated again with MC Hansai for their most successful song to date, “Good Bye“.
To date, Nia has released a total of four singles (My Everything, Good Bye, Memory of Forest and Winner,Fly) and have a growing fan base. Nia’s first full studio was due to be released by this year, but has been postponed to January.
After meeting the girls, hellokpop‘s Sira and the rest of the team quickly fell in love with their charms and have since then have left their music on repeat!
We were nervous about our first interview, but thanks to Nia’s professional attributes, we faired well! Congratulations on Mikkeli Entertainment on the launch of their new entertainment company, and thanks to Mikkeli Entertainment who made this interview possible!
P.S Keep an eye out for Mikkeli Entertainment who has hinted the possibility working with big entertainment companies from Korea – not bad for a new company!
Make sure you check out their music!
